Boyanup Primary School
45 Thomas Street, BOYANUP WA 6237
Boyanup Primary School provides a caring, supportive environment for all children. We cater for individual learning styles, set high standards and have a strong belief that all children can learn. We believe in and foster tolerance, diversity and working collaboratively.
All classes from Pre Primary to Year 6 have access to an innovative performing arts program. The program includes music, drama and dance. Research stipulates that there are multiple benefits of an arts-rich education from an early age. The performing arts helps us communicate, collaborate and develop our creativity. It also helps our brain make connections that support our learning in other areas, such as literacy and numeracy. The performing arts helps us express and engage with our emotions allowing us to make sense of the world around us.
An Innovational Visual Arts program is provided for all students from Pre Primary to Year 6. Boyanup Primary has a fully equipped art room including a kiln, enabling our specialist Visual Arts teacher to conduct a program where our students learn skills and processes to create their magnificent artwork.
The Visual Arts program encourages our students to be creative and to develop their problem solving skills using a variety of expressive forms such as drawing, painting, papercraft, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, textiles and digital technologies. Many artworks are on display around our school.
