Contributions & Charges

Financial support from parents plays an important role in providing resources that extend learning opportunities and experiences for all students attending Boyanup Primary School. The continuing partnership between parents and schools is vital, ensuring that all students receive a level of education which enables them to succeed in today’s society. It is crucial to our school that we maintain this high level of support for our school.

Boyanup Primary School Board has endorsed the schedule of Voluntary Contributions and Charges for this year and the Personal Items list under section 108 of the School Education Act 1999. Personal items such as stationery items may need to be replenished throughout the year.

Boyanup Primary School offers other services that incur costs but are not directly related to the School’s core business such as uniforms, school photos, book club, and charitable collections.
These costs have not been added to our schedule.

EFTPOS/Credit Card facilities and payment can be made at the front office 8.30am to 3.30pm or via Internet banking.

The term “Voluntary Contributions” refers to the monies requested from parents towards the cost of materials, services and facilities used by K-6 students in their educational program.

The term “Charges” refer to the provision of extra cost optional activities which contributions do not cover. Charges have been approved by the School Board. The following are optional if no payment is received an appropriate educational activity will be provided. The estimated costs are at an upper limit and will not exceed this amount. These costs will be collected if and when the event occurs. As parents/guardians are given clear and comprehensive details of excursion/incursions and their consent for participation is obtained before the event, the School will not refund charges if the child does not attend. Excursions and incursions have fixed costs which are divided between the number of students attending the excursion.

The term “Personal Items” refers to the student personal items list which has been approved by the School Board and includes: Stationery items, library bag, art shirt, tissues etc.

The Personal Item List/Book List for your child’s year is available to be downloaded.
The School has negotiated prices for the supply of materials. You are not obliged to use the suggested supplier. Your child will need to have the listed materials each school day and it may be necessary to replace some items such as pencils throughout the year.
